ANGOVE FAMILY WINEMAKERS
Angove Family Winemakers is one of Australia’s largest family owned wine companies. First established in 1886 by Dr William Thomas Angove after immigrating to Australia with his family from Cornwall, England. His early experimentation with vines, winemaking and distilling led to the establishment of this proud family business. Dr. Angove's initial plantings at the township of Tea Tree Gully in the Adelaide foothills were the predecessor of one of the largest vineyards in the southern hemisphere - the magnificent Nanya Vineyard at Renmark in South Australia's Riverland.
The Renmark winery was established in 1910 and today is a vast processing facility, sprawling over an area of 4.5 hectares (11 acres). In 1965, Dr Angove’s grandson Thomas William Carlyon Angove was responsible for the development of the ‘Bag in Box’, which is now known as the wine cask. Angove’s wines are distributed throughout Australia and exported to markets all over the world, where they have enjoyed continuing success. Angove Family Winemakers invites you to sample their range of premium wines, Stones Green Ginger, the famous St Agnes Brandy and fortified wines in their cellar door.

Mallee Estate Wines is a family owned winery and vineyard. Come and taste our family passion from vine to bottle in Australia’s largest wine region. First established in 1969, the winery started with only 3 acres of Shiraz planted. Today, the winery has expanded to have three different vineyards in separate locations throughout Renmark, utilising the different soil types to grow better grapes for winemaking. Kahlon Estate Winery was first established in 1990 by Mohinder Kahlon. The state of the art, modern and clean facility in which modern and advanced technologies combined with traditional methods come together to produce wines bursting with flavours from the grapes which they are made. NELWOOD WINES – RED MUD
Owners and Viticulturists, Margaret Howie and Richard Dolan have a record of consistently producing grapes of the highest quality. Grapes grown on the Nelwood vineyards are sought by large Australian processors for their premium labels. Making and marketing wines is a natural extension for the partners who have been involved in the wine and viticultural industry for three generations. ‘We believe that wine is a unique expression of the land and the people who care for it - in fact we believe that great wine, in essence, is grown’. Nelwood Wines is home to the ‘Red Mud’ label and are distributed throughout the USA or can be purchased direct at Nelwood Wines in Paringa. While visiting the Renmark Paringa District, Nelwood Wines can also be enjoyed when dining at the Renmark Hotel.
