RENMARK ROSE DRIVE/WALK
Few flowers can compete with the breathtaking beauty and exquisite perfume of the rose. The Renmark Rose Drive/Walk has been designed to help you find, identify and take pleasure in the beautiful roses that are on show in the Renmark Paringa Council’s rose beds.
The Renmark Paringa Council maintain over 3,500 rose bushes in various garden beds located in the townships of Renmark and Paringa. The majority of rose bushes are watered with recycled water. Renmark is extremely proud of its rose gardens, however you will notice as you walk through the town that there are some roses that remain unidentified. With so many rose bushes and varieties, this becomes a working progress.

PARINGA PADDOCK NATURE WALK
The Paringa Paddock area has been managed and maintained by two volunteer rangers, Mr Alec Ayling and Mr John Steed, since 1983. Their interest and activity in the area has been very successful with removal of many tonnes of rubbish, ongoing maintenance and the establishment of interesting walking trails.
The nature walk was developed with the assistance of Faye Brodie, a teacher at the Renmark Primary School, John Steed & Alec Ayling. It was opened in December 1991. The walk is approximately 1km in length with 25 points of interest, each numbered with a wooden post and identifying and explaining the vegetation of the floodplain.

HISTORY OF THE RENMARK CEMETERY
This is the original cemetery on land allotted for this purpose by the Chaffey Brothers and its area has expanded over the years. The oldest section is located along the Arumpo Street boundary and contains many unmarked graves. To date, there have not been plans to re-use these older plots as is the practice in many cemeteries in Adelaide. The Renmark Cemetery Walking Trail holds a great deal of family history for interested persons; it will take approximately 1.5 hours walking at a casual pace.
